Namib Desert

In the Namib-Naukluft National Park, Sossusvlei Area, Namibia, March 2010.
The Namib Desert is an incredible place, fascinating nature.

All three photos above show the famous Dune 45.

Gemsbok (Oryx gazella), large antelopes

Our 29 years old car. We brought it in Cape Town, left it in Nairobi.

  3. During a past "Amazing Race" show, they had people sand sledding down the dunes in Namibia. I thought I'd love to do that, too. :D

  4. That's quite the special place, Carola. I'm not a big desert fan, although I've been to a few, but your photos, especially the one with the gemsbok, make me want to see one again. And there's nothing like a sturdy reliable 29-year old car, is there!?
