    I like the first one best, with both red dots showing fully.

    I HAVE A LITTLE SHADOW

    I have a little shadow that always follows me;
    My shadow is my best friend, as anyone can see.

    Except, of course, at midnight with darkness everywhere!

    Both have something to offer, but I think I might prefer the second. There's something I like about only seeing part of the dot on the right and having to rely on the shadow to know for sure.
