What a cool sign. Like the shadow, too. Never have seen one like it. Your shots are so interesting. Quite a different landscape from what I am used to seeing. genie
That's a super road sign! About a decade ago, I had the idea to start a website to post different unique road signs, especially the yellow warning ones. I already had some interesting photos to start it with, like a kiwi crossing the road. Alas, I did not have the time or technical skill to start it. But I think of the idea whenever I see a funny road sign... Today it is easy... just start a meme... and Lesley did! :-)
PS. It's nice to see your young son so carefree, laughing, and not at all concerned about having the car stuck in the middle of nowhere. Amazing scenery.
Thanks very much for the kind words Carola! I speak German too (my mum's German), but since your writing in English, so will I. Anyways, I've looked through your blog and I like it as well! I've wanted to visit Namibia since I was a kid.
That's a great road-side sign!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful scenery!
ReplyDeleteJust curious - I understand the gravel road portion of the sign but how does one determine that the distance is for 100 kilometers?
(My sign entry is posted on my Drive-By Photos blog today.)
P.S. - I very much enjoyed the video!
ReplyDeleteI have never seen a road sign like that! Very symbolic way of showing changes in road conditions!
ReplyDeleteGreat sign and that road sure looks rough...
ReplyDeletethis sign is new to my eyes.
ReplyDeleteAn easy to understand sign! I like that!
ReplyDeleteThe sign explains what you need to know. A gravel road is one way to keep drivers at a slower speed.
ReplyDeleteI'd be the one to get a flat, I always do
ReplyDeletegreat shots
Clever sign! And I enjoyed the video! Great editing!
ReplyDeleteYou've been warned :-)
ReplyDeleteSafety Begins with Me!
