ABC Wednesday - C

Bordercrossing by bike - we came from Hungary - and we don't had to wait in the long cue  queue

Kopački Rit (Kopački Tršćak, Hungarian: Kopácsi rét), is a nature park in eastern Croatia.

following the Donauradweg (Danube Bike Trail)

A beautiful and quite place for our tent

The damage is from the Croatian War of Independance

The damaged Vukovar water tower

My ABC Wednesday is for Cycling in Croatia. And this is my contribution for signs, signs.

A previous post with Signs after the war of Independance.

In 2008 we traveled along the Danube River from Passau in Germany to Constanța in Romania. Around 2400 kilometers. The first 700 to Budapest by feet, from there by bike to the Black Sea in Romania. What a trip to explore nature and people in the east of Europe.

  4. Wonderful shots, and a lovely variety. The gun-riddled buildings remind me of what can be seen in my birth city of Belfast...

  7. The scars of the war on the buildings are very impressive. They should keep it so people will never forget. Beautiful light on the sunset pic.

  11. That's a good way to cross borders. I see the walls full of bullet holes. Kind of sad that it happened to other places. Great and interesting post thanks for sharing.
