A is for Austria

Abbey Melk, Austria 2008

Braunvieh (German: Brown cattle), typical for Austria
This is for the new round of ABC Wednesday. I don't know if I'll stick to geographical words. This is the beginning.
I spend my childhood holidays in our neighboring country.

  1. I have never been to Austria, but many of the photos I have seen of it make it seem like a fairytale place, a magical place.

  7. Austria is so beautiful. For a long time it was for Dutchmen one of the top countries to go on vacation. I've been there twice on vacation, and a few other times traveling through, to go to another country.

  8. Beautiful! My grandfather was from Austria; he came to the USA before the first world war. I'd love to see Abbe Melk one day, and the rest of your beautiful country too.

  10. Whenever I drive through Austria (once every five years or so) I can see all those churches from the motorway and they all look beautiful. That abbey certainly is no exception: great A!
