I remember some posts from Brisbane (or Sydney?) with a bike sharing system. Do you have anything like this at your town? But I must admit, I have not used it yet. From the station I walk to my destination. Maybe one day, just for pleasure.

ReplyDeleteI seem to remember this bike sharing system being used as a model for one they are trying to bring here. We used to have one, but people kept stealing the bikes.
ReplyDeleteThe only rent a bike system I know of appears in national parks here in Australia. On my peninsula, at the far end of the peninsula, you can rent push bikes, motorised bikes or tandems to see the sights in the park!
ReplyDeleteWe have the Bixi bike sharing system here in Toronto for about the last year or so and it seems to be quite popular.
ReplyDeleteJust this year our university has decided to put in a bike sharing program. They brought in people who know what they are doing, so it should work. We'll have to wait and see.

ReplyDeleteI have seen a few of these bike sharing bikes - but ours don't have quite such a big sign on them!
