Around five kilometers from home. Beside this industry it is a quite and nice area along this canal. It's typical German to look for a niche in a very populated area.

UFO or just the tower #2

And you can see where yesterdays lights and shadows are located.
Sometimes the lights on top (under the "ufo") are switched on. Maybe next time.
I couldn't decide which from the two last pics are better so here they are both.

Ferries Wheel in a former coking plant, Zollverein Coalmine Industrial Complex in Essen, Germany, September 2007

UNESCO declared the Zollverein Coalmine Industrial Complex in Essen a World Heritage Site. And for me it's an interesting place close to where I live. Great for taking photos.

The first two photos from the post Ruhr Area (September 10th) were taken there, too.
