Lünen

August 2012

This house dates back from 1600

Lünen is the town where I live. But I'm not living in the historical old town, I live in a former village close to Dortmund.

From Wikipedia: Lünen or Luenen is a town in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It is located north of Dortmund along the Lippe River. It is the largest town of the Unna district, and part of the green Münster area.

ABC Wednesday - D

The Danube River in Passau, Germany

Alleys of the old town, "Zur blauen Donau" is a name of a restaurant and means "at the blue Danube"

The town is dominated by the Veste Oberhaus a former fortress of the Bishop, on the mountain crest between the Danube and the Ilz rivers

This is my ABC Wednesday for the letter D. It's the Danube River. Passau is the city of three rivers.

More from my posts from the Danube.
