Rural Romania

On the road near Carna, Romania, October 2008
It's great for cycling. Some days we saw only one car, but a lot horse and cart.

This is what I think of when I think of rural Romania. But I know much of Bucharest is very modern. :)

That is an interesting contrast between modern and old style transportation.

rustic charm... with a license plate!

That sounds like great cycling country. Guess with a licence plate you can hitch it to anything.

We are definitely rural, but you have us beaten with this shot. It is wonderful and so much a part of times gone by for us here in our part of the US. It is a wonderful picture. I like the liscence plate. Here it would save “Farm Use.” Genie

That sure is a rickety wagon! I can't believe it needs a license plate!

Sometimes I think the world would be a better place if we all lived like this. Great shot.

I see the smiles. I'd rather ride this way than paying too high gas price ^_^ What a life!! Happy Thursday!
