The Sun Wheel

The Sun Wheel at Zollverein, Essen, September 2007

World Heritage Zeche Zollverein, information from this site:
The round tour with a difference. The Sun Wheel on the Coking Plant offers you fantastic views and unusual insights into the inner workings of the World Cultural Heritage Site.

Since 1999 the Sun Wheel revolves with its 14 gondolas at the Coking Plant. The visitors are experiencing an exciting journey of contrasts: It goes deep inside the decommissioned coke oven 9 and then high up into the sky above Zollverein - rare insights and overviews included.
