Cutting down

The Weekend in Black and White with this last shots from the tree in the neighbours garden. It was much to tall and to close to the houses. And after the violent storm in June, when the tall spruce from the neighbors on the other site hit our house (damaging our roof) I'm glad that this one is not standing anymore.

Happy people at work

Do you see that they have fun? The man in the middle is kicking an empty bottle away.

Hope your week is full of fun, with nice workmates to laugh together.
It's not often that I ask people at work for a picture, but theses guys were so lively, I did. Me taking pictures caused even more laughing. Very untypical reactions in Germany.
I took this while on my way to work with some spare time and it reminded me on situations while traveling.

Fingerspelling

Signs, signs in my work place, a school for children with hearing loss, hearing impairment or deafness.

I spend less time blogging, because some work related things keep me occupied and I'm preparing for a long outdoor weekend. Looking forward to be out with my family. Out in nature, out of any schedule, carrying everything what we need with us. Free and floating!

Open Your Eyes

Not that typical kind of sign. It should help you to find your way in the water. I took this while having a spare minute at work.

Signs, signs

The titel is from Snow Patrol, I love this song!

ABC Wednesday – D is for ...

... dark

And this was today in the morning, while walking from the train to my work place. Every morning I have some time left for me, for watching and taking pictures. I really enjoy this.

Delivering rice with 1613 Turbo

in Kozhikode, Kerala, India, December 2008
In the warehouse: Which rice do you want to buy?

It was our first town while traveling in India. We stayed there seven weeks. Kozhikode (Calicut) has no typical tourist attractions. It's where the pepper grows. Direct on the Indian Ocean. With awesome fishing villages.

We like to travel slow, meet the same people again and again, become friends, get to know the streets and places. And wonder. And see. And taste.

Hauptbahnhof #4

Dortmund main station, February 2012
I'm waiting for my morning train and enjoy to take photos. Usually I'm there 20 Minutes later, but it is less crowded with this earlier train.

If you like to see some more pics from the Hauptbahnhof (main station in German) go to this post or to this one and here is one more.

S-Bahn

S-Bahn (s-train), Dortmund, December 2011
Every working day I use the S-Bahn. And I like it. The new trains go quite and normally they are not crowded. I get a seat and like to read in a book. When the book is good, I have to watch out, I ones missed my destination Bochum-Langendreer.

The Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region in the far west of China. We came from Pakistan by bus over the Khunjerab Pass to this region. It is so different from other parts in China.
