E is for Elephant
While driving across Africa from south to north, we saw this sign before. But there were only big patches of feces on the street. No elephants. For example on the Caprivi Strip in the north of Namibia.
In Tanzania we saw wild elephants for our first time. Fantastic! GREAT
This was while driving on a normal street, which goes through Mikumi National Park, in April 2010.
We deceided then to spend an extra day there and watch some more wild animals.
This is my ABC Wednesday. To watch more go to this site from Mrs. Nesbitt.

Seeing any animal in the wild is an experience not soon forgotten. We saw many on our trip in Kenya. What beautiful majestic beast.
What a wonderful sight to see. I almost chose zoo elephants for E, but I decided not to. Your elephant is much better! Perfect post for the letter E.

Wonderful shots. I just love seeing them.
Well, I guess you have to go to Africa to see an Elephant sign like that.
Beautiful animals.
Thank you for your nice comments. It's realy good to have bloggers like you, to know someone is watching, thinking, writing.

Oh how fun was that to see. I just love your photos.
Wow. Must have been one long and interesting drive.
I so envy you that drive, must have been spectacular! We did visit the game parks in East Africa some time ago, and I just finished an A - Z Challenge on my blog where each day featured a different African animal. Of course, my E was also for Elephant, but also for Eland...:)
