Certainly a sign that it is essential to take seriously. It is such a pity to live on this beautiful earth and yet we do our utmost to mar its beauty and try to kill each other...
Your pictures this week really pull at the heart strings. The devastation is terrible. I know about the mines because I was in Belgium where they had the same type signs. A great post this week. genie
When I was little and lived in Bonn I used to play in ruins. For me it was totally normal that there were more ruins than standing houses and I remember these were wonderful playgrounds !!
It is a grim reminder, but we all do need to remember history. I am glad you posted this sign but sorry it has to exist. As you say, a part of your travels and a part of life. We mustn't forget.

A sad sight, but, as you say, reality. Thanks for sharing!
Wow - that is sobering!
So scary that even after the war is over it's still not safe!

war only has ugly face. a bit scary to veer off the road.
sad to see the marring of such a beautiful country.
It really is sad that we have to have signs like this ... but I'm glad they are there - even if it saves just one life.

Wow! Thanks for that dose of reality! That sign is pretty scary to see! And how awful to see those buildings!

Yup, it's not all pretty. Cambodia has the same problem of hidden mines.
Hi - I think we can all get a bit carried away, what with pictures of sunsets and birds in flight - this is a grounding image.

Thanks for your great comments. Glad that you understand. It is easier to post nice photos. But we have to open our eyes.
