Ice in India is my ABC Wednesday
While traveling in India we spend seven weeks in the Khozikode (or Calicut) in Kerala. We love to stay and get in contact with the locals. Our friend Rajesh showed us around. One day we went to Beypure. To the cold place of this ice plant, to the hot harbor and to the lovely beach. A great day. A very special Indian day.

Looks like Ice Houses are very much the same worldwide! My subject was our local Ice House too!
The ICE picture reminds me how my grandmother used to get ice for the ICEBOX.

These ice photos underscore for me how difficult this line of work must be! Kate, ABC Team
I'm reminded of the movie, The Perfect Storm, where the ice machine stopped and the threat of all the fish spoiling. Ice is so important to fishermen.
Never heard anyone called the Ice Master (smile).
Calling by from ABC Wednesday, interesting to learn about the ice plant.
