Bahia de Salinas, Costa Rica, November 2009 |
In the sand. Under some trees.
Alone.
We could not see the ocean but it was very close. (For sure we checked the distance.)
We pitched the tent and had a wonderful night.
With waves making our bedtime sound.
Imagine to wake up and don't know how it does look like.
Hans, our two kids and I, we had a beautiful morning at the beach.
This was our place.
The next two nights we did couchsurfing in Santa Cruz with a young family.
For travel this two possibilities to stay at night are my favorite. In nature places sleeping in the tent is the best.
In urban areas it's best to stay with other people in their homes and get to know the local culture, that is couchsurfing.
Linked to ABC Wednesday and the letter for today is C for Costa Rica. Or for Camping in Costa Rica.

Great photos. I've always wanted to visit CR.
That place is fabulous but I am not fun of sleeping the night in tent, hehehe! Happy Wednesday!

What beautiful photos of the beach in C.R.
Costa Rica is a beautiful country. You are quite brave to find a place to sleep while it is dark!
No crocodiles I hope!
Lovely snaps. I have a team working in CR.... Now I have an excuse to visit CR ;)

Looks perfect.
What a great way to wake up! Sounds divine. I was in CR in 1981...a long time ago. Time go go back, I think!
I really like your photos. You are much braver than me in your travels.
C stands for Carola's "almost-lie-being-there" photos of Costa Rica. The blues of the first photo are so wonderful!
Thank you,

I love the photo with the tree - Beautiful tree and I love how the shot was framed! Never been that far south - maybe I should!
You and I are shadowing each other, Carola. But I am quite a bit older than you, so I have a head start. :-) Our family of seven (parents plus five kids) drove from Toronto to Panama City in 1972. Good choice for C day!
Sounds like a great adventure and a beautiful experience. Good for you!
Nice post, nice photos, nice way to travel!
