Parking sign

In Tumbaco near Quito, Ecuador, January 2010

Do you have signs like that in your country? In Germany we have very little family parking places.

We do have them, but not many. I have been known to ask people (usually middle-aged women) why they have parked in a spot reserved for those with young children when they do not have any young children with them.

They very rarely answer though, preferring to rush off looking peeved.

I've heard about these, but never actually seen one. I think it's a great idea.

We have disabled parking spaces which too many people who don't need them use, but they are beginning to crack down on that.)

It would be a good spot for a salesperson of baby goods to hang out. In Canada we have similar signs.

I did not know such signs existed! We have plenty of disabled parking spots in major shopping centres in Australia but not these signs!

Yes we do have it here. This photo is very clear our parking lot photo is a stork carrying a baby and it says "expecting mother only" which is very good because it is very close to the mall entrance. ^_^

our signs aren't nearly so graphic, however! we have a pink one with a baby carriage.

I like this one! I also like the 'futura mama'.

Nope, haven't seen parking reserved for pregnant women... and this is a pleasant graphic, albeit a bit too large for my taste. I think we're getting overloaded with signs... It could be painted on the parking space, like most handicap signs. :-)
